The Fellowship is a salaried, full-time elementary teaching position culminating in a Master of Science in Teaching (MST) with a dual Transitional-B certificate in Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) and Special Education. Trans-B is an accelerated certification that you will earn after your first semester at PEI and hold as long as you’re enrolled in our program and keep your teaching job. The Trans-B converts to a New York State Initial Certificate at the end of the three-year program.
Tuition is heavily subsidized ($250/semester, plus fees); the cost of comparable programs is $35,000+. Classes on weekday evenings or Saturday mornings are scheduled to make for a manageable workload.
