The Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Coordinator at Harlem Village Academies will join a team committed to supporting our students, families, and teachers with high-quality, engaging, rigorous curricular materials, children’s literature, and assessments.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about literacy and children’s literature, is an excellent written communicator, and is hardworking and detail oriented.
Assist in the preparation of curricular materials for elementary and middle school teachers by formatting and proofreading a variety of documents
Draft family-facing letters/flyers to support strong communication and partnership between school and home
Create project plans for curricular initiatives, such as a summer reading plan
Manage key administrative tasks around materials management at the school level, including the procurement, receipt, and organization of books and printed materials
Serve as the office manager for our PEI building, performing task including but not limited to; front desk reception, supply ordering, receiving and distributing mail, managing the facilities team to ensure a clean and functioning office and other office-related duties as needed
Passion for reading and learning and a commitment to high-quality education for all children
1-2 years of experience in education, children's bookselling, or children's publishing
Precise, organized, and extremely attentive to detail
Strong written communication skills
A work style that is proactive, independent, and committed to following tasks through to completion
In-depth experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
