The Math Interventionist will use research-based intervention strategies to lead individual and small group lessons in mathematics to ensure that students are able to master grade level standards and curriculum. This position is full-time, occurring remotely during school hours.
Plan lessons for individual and small group mathematics instruction using provided materials
Assist with identifying students for placement in intervention groups
Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for students
Analyze and interpret assessment data to inform implementation of intervention programs
Teach test sophistication skills and strategies
Leverage research-based intervention techniques focusing specifically on individual student needs
Monitor student progress, maintain data-based documentation, and provide ongoing feedback to the students, families, and teachers
Minimum 2 years of mathematics teaching experience preferred
Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in education/teaching
Strong conceptual understanding of 6-12 mathematics
Ability to apply instructional strategies on differentiation
Knowledge of collaboration practices, team teaching practices, and special education
A strong sense of personal accountability for student achievement
