Role Overview

The Student Enrollment Coordinator at Harlem Village Academies will assist with ensuring full enrollment of all campuses through key outreach strategies. This is a great opportunity for a relationship-builder who can build strong connections within the Harlem community and is excited about giving students access to a free world-class education. You’ll be responsible for activities that produce applicants and support families with registration. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage outreach to Harlem area organizations including daycares, after school programs, community centers and schools to recruit students and increase HVA’s visibility as a high-performing public charter school option.

  • Lead canvassing, tabling, phone banking and other recruitment efforts aligned to HVA’s enrollment and marketing strategy. 

  • Support school tours, information sessions and events to provide prospective families with a look inside the amazing HVA campuses.

  • Connect with prospects and leads to ensure they effectively convert to applicants.

  • Collaborate with school-based Operations teams and the network Student Enrollment team to assist new families with completing registration requirements after the spring lottery.

  • Perform other duties and projects as needed in support of HVA’s school operations. 

Qualifications

  • 3 years of professional experience, ideally in student enrollment, school operations or community engagement

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service mindset

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • A professional demeanor that conveys warmth, caring, and responsiveness to children, parents, and staff at all times

  • Team player with a willingness to be hands-on and do whatever it takes to support the success of Harlem Village Academies

  • Proficient in Google Suite, and willingness to learn additional programs

  • Willingness to work some evening and weekends

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $55,00-$65,000, and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final salary may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications. HVA is committed to providing our team with a range of benefit offerings at a competitive value.
