Harlem Village Academies is a community of educators working to build an urban school district based on the ideals and tenets of progressive education. HVA is the demonstration site for the Progressive Education Institute.
The Administration Manager will work directly with the Operations Director and Principal in support of the educational programs of the school, ensuring that teachers and students can effectively focus on teaching and learning.
Serve as the first point of contact for all main office inquiries. Greet and direct guests as appropriate
Manage the main office, lost-and-found, and school calendar
Assist sick students when the school clinic is closed
Deliver phone and email messages to parents, teachers, and other staff
Work with the Operations Manager and Operations Director to fulfill all non-instructional and administrative needs, as well as to support all school-wide events
A bachelor’s degree
School-based experience a plus
A drive to improve the minds and lives of students in and out of school
Team player with a willingness to be hands-on and do whatever it takes to support the success of Harlem Village Academies
Strong communication skills, with a customer service mindset
A positive, high-energy attitude
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office
