Mindfulness
The latest brain research on neuroplasticity shows that brains are still growing and creating neural pathways throughout childhood and into adolescence. Mindfulness practices such as yoga and meditation strengthen these neural pathways and teach students to handle daily stress, so that they can improve their ability to take in new knowledge, modulate their own behavior, show compassion to one another, and focus on their studies.
Mindfulness exercises involve students concentrating on their breath or pulse to find centeredness and calm. These practices have a positive impact on our students’ emotional well-being and intellectual development.
