College Support

Harlem Village Academies ensures that our students are fully supported as they transition to college. Once on campus we continue to support college students through mentoring as well as guidance related to accessing campus resources, managing finances, overcoming academic challenges and more.

Quarterly Check-ins: College support counselors reach out to graduates and their families every quarter while they are in college in order to support our college students with any obstacles they might be facing.

Student Visits: Counselors visit college campuses to provide additional in-person support for our college students.

Events at HVAH: Special events are planned for our college students during the regular breaks so that students remain connected to HVAH and receive important services like FAFSA renewal workshops, career fairs, and internship fairs.

College Partnerships: HVAH develops partnerships with select colleges to support students through the application process and while they are enrolled in college.
