The Opportunity
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Principal in all operations areas to support the success of the school and ensure that teachers and students can effectively focus on teaching and learning. The ideal candidate is a highly intelligent, driven individual with a passion for operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Work in all operations areas including technology, data analysis, compliance, human resources, and special projects
- Plan and coordinate large scale events for school operations team
- Provide seasonal support to school improvement and relocation projects
- Support facilities and security management
- Manage food service operations including meal benefit applications, federal and state reimbursements, lunch bills, and compliance
- Manage inventory and deployment systems for technology, mobile devices, and supplies
- Manage purchasing and vendor relationships for schools
- Provide administrative support to school operations team including, but not limited to, ordering supplies, filing expense reports, organizing files and data, and planning team activities
- Complete other managerial and administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Self-motivated, resourceful, detail- and deadline-oriented
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Fine-tuned analytical skills with strengths in attention to detail, problem solving, and logical reasoning
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate to various constituencies and work effectively with a variety of staff at all levels within and outside the organization
- Strong team player, with willingness to be hands-on and do whatever it takes to support the success of Harlem Village Academies
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final salary may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications. HVA is committed to providing our team with a range of benefit offerings at a competitive value.
