The Opportunity
The Managing Director of Advancement Operations will be a critical member of the HVA’s Advancement Team and will help drive the groundbreaking mission of HVA. Specifically, the Managing Director of Advancement Operations will design and manage systems for tracking, managing and reporting out data to strategically improve upon fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
- Designing and managing sophisticated systems to track all Advancement team deadlines including grant reports and renewals, marketing projects, donor engagement protocols, and more;
- Working with other members of the Advancement team to develop an annual, strategic plan for Advancement. Facilitate processes and project management to help set and track progress to goals and to systemize a joint calendar of deadlines and milestones outlined in the advancement plan;
- Collaborating closely with the Managing Director of Individual Giving and Managing Director of Events, to develop and execute successful fundraising activities and events throughout the year;
- Creating systems for proactively analyzing data to expand major gifts conversations and donor giving pipeline. Utilize wealth screenings to help identify and screen new and existing donors with the capacity and inclination to give at the highest levels;
- Leading development and execution of Board packet for meetings, synthesizing key data points. Manage all logistics and material preparation for HVA board meetings and VIP visits;
- Supervising the Associate Director of Advancement and coordinating workflows across the team – improving efficiency and ensuring high quality work products between Events, Individual Giving and Advancement Operations.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate is strategic, highly organized, an excellent communicator, and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate possesses the highest level of proactiveness, follow through, attention to detail, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate will also have at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in Advancement Operations.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. In addition, HVA offers a competitive range of benefits. This is an on-site position.
